Q. What I need to use Exportizer Pro?

A. First of all, you need to have a database with data, and a database engine installed (please, refer to next question for these issues).

Q. What database formats are supported?

A. This depends on database engines available and the versions of the engines. Current version of Exportizer Pro can work with data via several database engines: Microsoft ActiveX Data Objects (ADO), Interbase, or Borland Database Engine (BDE). Full list of supported database formats is listed here.

Note
You can decide by yourself, which database engine to use.
In order to work with data via Interbase, you must have an Interbase client and a corresponding ODBC driver or OLE DB provider installed on your machine.
In order to work with data via BDE, you must have BDE (at least 5.0 version) installed on your machine.
Windows 2000 and later Windows versions include ADO, therefore in order to work with data via ADO it is enough to have Windows 2000 or later Windows operating system. For previous Windows systems, you may download and install MDAC from Microsoft web site. You can check the presence of BDE and ADO on your machine and their versions after installing Exportizer Pro in About... section..

Q. What are the differences between Exportizer Pro and Database Tour exporting?

A. Both tools, Exportizer Pro and Database Tour, use similar mechanisms to connect the databases and export data. But there are also important differences between them. While Database Tour is a general database tool, where data exporting is one of the many features, Exportizer Pro is designed for export purposes mainly. Therefore, Exportizer Pro has more compact interface and significantly lower price.

Q. What interface (GUI) languages are supported?

A. Exportizer Pro supports English, German, Polish, and Slovenian interfaces. You can easily switch between them using Exportizer Pro menu.

A. Yes. You should start your order process here. You will be able to select more than one product to purchase by lower price than they are usually sold separately. If the product combinations offered are different as you would like to purchase, or if you want to purchase multiple licenses for some of the products, please contact us.

Q. I purchased Exportizer Pro and I need support. Where should I place the support ticket?

A. You may contact us either using the online contact form, or sending email to addresses, which appear in About box of Exportizer Pro.

Q. I purchased Exportizer Pro, but after entering serial number, I see error message 'Exportizer Pro has already been registered on another computer'. What does it mean?

A. Note, that you may use your purchased product on the amount of computers, which is allowed by purchased license.

For example, if you purchased one license, you may use the program on one computer only, as it is described here.

In your case, it is mean that you have already activated Exportizer Pro with your serial number on other computer(s) and you are trying to activate it on extra computer. So, you should uninstall Exportizer Pro on some other computer(s) and try again. In case of the problem still exists, please contact us with specifying your serial number.

Q. I purchased Exportizer Pro, but cannot activate it. I enter my serial number and program says it is valid, but every time the program starts, activation window appears. What am I doing wrong?

A. The activation of Exportizer Pro is done within two steps: validation of your serial number, and the activation itself.

You usually should not have problems with first step, if you have valid serial number.

The second step (activation) is used to prevent casual piracy. Note, that you may use your purchased product on the amount of computers, which is allowed by purchased license. Activation just ensures that your serial number was used in compliance with Exportizer Pro license; in other words, it ensures, that amount of computers, where your serial number is used, is not larger than amount of copies purchased.

For example, if you purchased one license, you may use the program on one computer only, as it is described here.

Activation is usually done automatically behind the scene, after you enter your serial number and if you have Internet connection.

In your case, it seems, the serial number validation passed successfully, but activation failed due to either your serial number is used on other computer(s), or you have not Internet connection on your computer.

If you have not Internet connection on the computer where you want to use Exportizer Pro, you should get the activation code using another computer, which has Internet connection, and then enter it in the program; just follow instructions, which appear during the activation process.

Q. I installed and registered Exportizer Pro, but now I want to move it on another computer. What is the right way to do this?

A. One Exportizer Pro license allows you to use the program on one computer only. To move installed and registered program on another computer, you should uninstall it on the old computer and install and register it on the new one.
